Join me in my efforts to support Arthritis Foundation, Michigan Chapter!

As many of you know, I was recently diagnosed with a form of juvenile arthritis called Spondylitis. I’ve been learning a lot about this disease and am beginning treatments which include both oral medication and giving myself shots. On Saturday, November 8, I plan to tie bells to my shoelaces and participate in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk® for Arthritis, a 5K fun run/walk in downtown Kalamazoo to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. I’d like to invite you to join me! I am looking for people to join my team (TEAM BISHOP) and walk along with me OR show your support for me in this journey by helping me raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.

You can join my team by paying the $25 registration fee (1 person per family can register and the whole family can walk) and joining me in fundraising. We’re having long-sleeve t-shirts printed for the first 20 people who join my team and walk with me! The shirts say “TEAM BISHOP” on the front and have a Christmas logo my mom and I created on the back (pictured above).

Arthritis affects more than 300,000 children in the United States, and I’m very excited that some of the money raised will support summer camps for children with arthritis. I hope to go to one of these camps some day.
